He's Just Not That Into You

A self-improvement book written in the most non self-improvement style, He's Just Not That Into You is the bible every girl should own if they are still single, available and seeking. (Sure sounds like me!). It even have chapters that state the obvious; He's just not that into you if...
  • He's not calling you.
  • He's not having sex with you.
  • He's having sex with someone else.
  • He doesn't want to marry you.
  • He's breaking up with you.
  • He disappeared on you.
  • He's married (or any other insane variation of being unavailable).

Written by Greg Behrendt, a former writer for Sex and the City, and Liz Tuccillo, He's Just Not That Into You is a series of letters strung together to point out one main point that every woman fail to see when they are out there in the love arena: Why women should not waste time on guys who are just not that into them. It's not that we (women) do not know that they are just not that into us, rather we keep making excuses for them and for ourselves when it comes to love matters.

Though this is an easy-to-read book, some readers may find the words used a little too harsh to digest. (Especially if you are currently in a relationship with a guy who may not be that into you). And though you can finish reading from the cover till the very last page in one sitting, I hardly recommend so. The concept of the contents get a little repetitive so much so that if you are reading it in one sitting, you might get the draggy feeling when you read the 2nd half of the book.

Overall, I have enjoyed this book. And I'm now looking forward to see how they would interpret it on the golden screen. Just hoping that they could at least preserve the juice of the concept when translating the book into a movie.
