Gubra
I am only watching Gubra because the words 'Why do we hurt the most the ones we love the most?' caught my heart like a sticky post-it glued to my computer screen. I always enjoy a good love story and Gubra seems to be a heartfelt one.
A follow up from Sepet, Yasmin Ahmad takes on a more matured angle in the follow-up of Orked's romance with Jason. After his death and seven years down the road, Orked is now married to Ariff, a man who is much older than herself. They seem to be a lovey-dovey couple until she finds out about his affair. Now she has to deal with it. Fortunately, she meets Jason's brother during this phrase of her life. Perhaps love is fair afterall.
I have enjoyed this more than I did of any Yasmin Ahmad films which I have watched. This is her best piece so far (for me).
P/s: Alan Yun looks really good but he still needs to improve lots on his acting skills man. Stagnant as a wood.
