Money Not Enough 2
If there is any filmmaker who can make you laugh your head off and cry sadly in the heart all in one seating, it has to be Jack Neo. He has does it once, twice, thrice... I lost count. But that is his trait, his specialty. He is able to tune into our hearts and emotions, make us feel deeply about something and before we can dwell in it, he switches gear and play a different tune.
Money Not Enough 2 is a sequel to the first series which was a hit a few years back in Asia. Its comedy and heartwarming touches remain as core elements of the movie bringing across yet another powerful message of love and family.
Three Yang brothers continues to pursue wealth in various forms, each striving to be the richest among them. In their journey to earn more, they become calculative with petty things such as who takes care of mom, who pays the hospital bills, who buys dinner, etc. One day, all three of them suffer a financial breakdown and had no choice but to send their mom to the old folks home. Follow through their journey as they are put into difficult spots such as deciding between family and money, wife and pride, mother and children, and justice and law.
Note: The video above was shown before the movie begins. It tickles funny bones while sending the message across efficiently. Love it!
