Endless Love (C'est La Vie, Mon Chéri)
If you have watched the movie C'est La Vie, Mon Chéri (1993) starring Anita Yuen and Lau Ching Wan and thought they suck, this new version of it would not disappoint you. This installment of C'est La Vie, Mon Chéri (drama version) is absolutely touching, you would cry and laugh in your seat throughout every episode. Maybe at first you would complain a little about the slow storyline, but later you would learn to appreciate how the story reveals one plot after another to touch your heart in the most gentle way. Recommended to all sentimental hearts.
C'est La Vie, Mon Chéri is a story about happy cheerful girl known as Mun (starring Fiona Sit). She is brought up in the streets of Hong Kong by her single parent mother. Since her mother sings at the street for a living, Mun grows up to be loved by the entire neighbourhood as she too sings with her mom as she grows up. Being an optimistic girl, nothing could seems to bring down her spirits. Not even when she discovers that death is knocking on her door.
Mun is the perfect role for Fiona Sit. She played the role really well that she actually engages the audience to be stucked to the TV screen at all times. Some actors overdo it, but Fiona Sit successfully pulled of the optimistic role with her sweet face, angelic smile and sexy facial expression which is a little childish and attractive at the same time. She is adorable.

As for Chen Kun (photo above), his acting skills were really bad. He plays the role of a musician known as Ah Kit who later falls in love with Mun. Though he is handsome, I would only give him a rate of 2 out of 5 because he totally spoil the drama with his stiff rock body language. Ah yes, his smile is charming; his chuckles are cute. But please, an actor needs more than that to pull a character off successfullly.
Overall, this is one really good drama series. You've just gotta watch it! Get ready to popcorns and tissues, there would be crying moments. Enjoy!
