Love Is Cinta
The lovey-dovey couple in Indonesian hit 'Heart' is back in Hanny R. Saputra's second production - Love Is Cinta. Just as the previous, this is one slow romantic film that would see your tears falling and smile cracking your face. It's was good.
Cinta and Ryan have been close friends since their childhood times. They have played, studied and grew up together - both so close, it was obvious that they love one another. While Cinta has found the courage to confess her feelings to Ryan, the young handsome man couldn't utter those three important words. When tragedy bestowed upon him, Ryan is filled with regrets that his lover never knew how much he loves her.
As the angel approaches Ryan to bring him to heaven, he requested for some time on earth to settle his love relationship with Cinta. He has to let her know that he really loves her all these while. After making a pact with the angel, Ryan enters another guy's body and is on his quest to confess his love. Only this time, he has to convince Cinta that he really is the Ryan whom has left her behind.
The captivating issue about this film is the writer was bold enough to bring out lots of elements such as love relationship, friendship, after death, angels and heaven, etc. It's a mixture of everything and at the same time nothing. It's kinda amazing.
Don't forget to catch the funniest scene ever - Ryan standing at the top of the building shouting and laughing his heart out like a gorilla after he sees a photo of Cinta's underwear - totally obscene!
