The Brave One
You guys really have to watch this because Jodie Foster pulled off the character so well, you'll just love the dynamic character of Erica Bain, the main character of the film.
Erica Bain walks the city. She explores the streets of New York, listens to the things that take place every day, captures every bits of them and shares with her radio audience in the show 'Street Walk'. Her job makes her an interesting person and life is awesome. She is one step away from marriage and her career is hitting the rooftop. But not for long...
In an evening walk with her fiance, they are ambushed and David is killed. Erica is traumatised and loses control of her life. She becomes a paranoid. Afraid of the shadow that lingers, afraid of what may be ahead at the bend, afraid of life itself - Erica buys a gun for self protection. However it is not used for that purpose, she begins to kill.
Her dark pursuit for justice in search of the men who are responsible for the death of David grasps the attention of New York City. With the NYPD hot on her heels, she begins to question if her quest for revenge is the right path to take.
A story wonderfully told, Jodie Foster is slowly finding her way into my favourite-actresses list. I love her facial expression. Her acting skills have a professional touch of her own and that's what make her unique. When you are watching this film, keep a look out of her eyes - they tell you much more than her gestures and body language.
Also starring is Terrence Howard, Naveen Andrews and Jane Adams. Learn more about love and the lost of it. Experience the grief of losing the ones you love the most. Capture that moment when you begin to realise how much love can change a person and you.
I'll leave you guys with a quote from the film.
"When you love something, every time a bit of it goes, you lose a piece of yourself."
