Perng Mang

This latest Thai horror/thriller film is definitely wrongly categorized. It's one of the best love tale ever that I've watched, spinned together beautifully with a mysterious bit. It's just beautiful.

Synopsis from Cinema Online:

Ping, a young nobleman, has retired from the service of the crown in order to become a musician. He becomes a student of Master Duang, a famous musician who owns a Perng Mang, a sort of traditional drum set. This particular one however, possesses the power to bring success or death to people. Meanwhile, an arrogant musician called Muan tries to convince all the students to leave Master Duang. Some follow his advice and end up dying horrible deaths. When Master Duang is defeated by Muan, he calls for Ping to inherit his musical knowledge and gives him the Perng Mang. However, Ping has fallen in love with a girl, Tip, who seems to have some special connection to the cursed drums.

Watch how Tip falls in love with Ping. It's amazing how elegant she is in the film. The way she walks, talks, moves, and express her emotions. I am inspired to be like her. I like the character.

Note: The story is lovely and romantic, but there are a few small scenes where the victims died creepily. Lots of blood and horrible death. Be prepared.
