Remember Me?
Witty, cheesy and charming - Remember Me? could be your favourite if you enjoy stories such as Desperate Housewives, Lipstick Jungle and Anyone But Him. Step into a world of luxury and paradise as writer, Sophie Kinsella introduces the main character: Lexi.
Lexi Smart is the girl that no one notices at work or in school, who has problems with boyfriends and falling in love, who worries about her next meal and when her next cheque would come true. But all that changed when she met an accident the night before her father's funeral. She woke up at the hospital and that's when the magic began. Her life has fast-forwarded to three years later where she is now a successful career woman in her company, married to a millionaire handsome hunk and is the center of attraction in parties and events. What has happened? She could not remember. Not that it matter. She is loving the new life she has right until.... she meets Jon. Perhaps the past matters afterall.
Remember Me? answers the question most of us have asked ourselves at one point of our life: What if I wake up rich and successful one day? The situation can be funny, enjoyable, relaxing, cool, etc. But it can also be messy, terrifying and horrifying. How do we face all of this?
Sophie Kinsella did a great job in bringing out the idea of luxury and loft-style living. I feel bitchy just reading the story from Lexi's point of view. The writing style makes me feel rich, bitchy and sexily powerful. For that, this novel has succeeded extremely well.
If you are a chic lit fan, this is a must-read. If you are not, stay away. If you read anything and everything, then go on and grab a copy because this book is worthy of your time.
