A Good Day to Have an Affair

The story unfolds with a lady running her daily routine and errands of dancing and serving food to the children, then walking across the streets holding a plastic bag of fishes. She suddenly drops the bag and the fishes are lying breathlessly on the tar road. Making use of this incident, the title of the movie is introduced in a beautiful artistic way. It sets the mood, tone & manner of the entire story ahead. And thus begins the story of an affair on a very good day. Actually, two affairs on a very good day.

Miss Dewdrop is an outgoing person who is active, flirty and fun to be with. She is bold in her actions and words - a lady of confidence. When she goes out to meet an university boy whom she gets to know over the internet, she teases him for being a virgin. Soon, they become great sex partners though she is married to another man.

Miss LittleBird, on the other hand, is a quiet shy lady who is married to a policeman. She has a daughter but still feels lonely because her husband is constantly working at the police station. She goes online and starts chatting too. Then she decides to meet the new man whom she has been chatting with because she thinks he is different. However, she finds out later that he is a man of little words while she gets turn on over sexy voice telling good romantic stories.

And so, two active affairs going on while husbands are at work. How exotic can it be? Unlike other love affair stories, A Good Day to Have an Affair takes on a different approach. The story takes on the conflicts of love and affairs in a light but serious manner. It makes you smile and laugh while subconsciously injecting the theme of the story into your soul. You'll remember the first time you kiss someone, lose your virginity and how it was to love someone fully.

A very fun movie indeed. I recommend to everyone out there who fancy a window into the world Korea marriage life. This is one good movie to catch.
