Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Gosh, this was confusing for the first 20 minutes, I almost wanted to switch DVD titles. However, I persuaded myself to keep watching because according to the synopsis, Eternal Sunshine has a good plot. And Kate Winslet looks darn funny in various different shocking colours of hair. I still can't believe that Jim Carrey took on the serious role... like seriously.

Extract from Channel 4
Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet star as a couple who exploit a revolutionary memory-erasing technique. Unique romantic comedy from the pen of Charlie Kaufman, directed by French video maestro Michel Gondry.

The idea is totally brilliant. If you don't like someone in your life, you go to a service centre where they could help you to erase that specific someone from your memory. It runs with a mechanism that is both realistic and interesting, you'll believe such memory-erasing technique actually exists.

Overall, I love the storyline and the visual, but the concept could have been filmed differently to make it less confusing and more overwhelming. An intellectual story for the intellectuals!
