The Detective C+

This is one heck of a good movie and I would encourage even the non-fans of Aaron Kwok to watch it because it's not about him, it's about the entire good story.

Tam (starred by Aaron Kwok) is a private detective who has sight problems. He lives by the penny and struggles to make ends meet. One day, a guy named Fatty walked into his office and asked Tam to track down a nameless woman. Fatty believes she wants him dead. With a photo of the woman, Tam begins the investigation.

One photo leads to another, everyone that Tam looks for always ends up dead before he could speak to any of them. He begins to realize that it is going to be a different case. The mystery gets deeper as he ventures to find out more. His curiosity gets the better of him.

The Detective C+ is more than just a thriller. It has a sprinkle of horror and lots of spontaneous laughters. Filmed in Thailand, Aaron Kwok did such a good job acting as a local. He even spoke Thai fluently - I am impressed! I think he played the character so well, it becomes believable. His expressions and body language are well portrayed, I suddenly forgot that he is a superstar in real life. His dark skin complements the character really well.

Also starring are Liu Kai Chi, Wayne Lee and Jo Koo. To all thriller buffs out there, this is one movie you wouldn't want to miss. It's not as thrilling as Bourne Ultimatum but it sure does keep you at the edge of your seat. For a Thailand film to do that, it's a thumb-up!
