The Invisible

The idea of invisible is old, yet director David S. Goyer has done really well in bringing the idea out (again) with a fresh approach. It just has a refreshing touch to it.

Synopsis from movies.yahoo.com
Nick, is a high school senior with a bright future until, in a tragic case of mistaken identity, he is brutally attacked by a troubled girl, Annie, and his body is left for dead. Now in limbo, not quite dead but invisible to the living, his spirit can only watch as his mother and the police search frantically for him, unaware that he is only hours away from truly perishing.

The story is a little slow, yet the characters pull you through right until the end. Personally, I like the Annie character, starred by Margarita Levieva. She is just gorgeous. I love the way she looks when she has her hat on covering both ears - adventurous, and at the same time, vulnerable. She is just beautiful for this character.

Do not expect the film to deliver the trailers that you have seen or the synopsis you have read (even the one taken from movies.yahoo.com) because the plot really wasn't even close to that. There wasn't a mistaken of identity, but a friend's lie. The girl whom you thought is involved with Nick Powell, that is wrong too. And the ending, yes the ending, it's expected but being presented in a different way.

Slow and easy, a little intelligence needed. But other than that, this movie is good to go. Though I think it's not really a story about Nick Powell - It is more of a story about Annie Newton. And she is just great!
