Full House

No. of episodes: 16
Produced by: Pyo Min Soo
Year: 2004

Finally, I found the time to write a review about this drama series. It's one of my favourites so far. And I love every bits of it!

This is a story about how a pop star falls in love with the girl he thought he would never love. But love can come anytime it wants to and no one can stop it, can we? It began with a fake marriage, where both Ji-eun and Young-jae stayed under the same roof and pretended to be the happiest couple on earth. (I think they really were happy, but didn't realize consciously how blissful they were when they were together).

There's a square love in this story because it involves another two persons as well. Min-hyuk, a well-known producer falls head over heels with Ji-eun. But as he spends more time with her, he realises that her heart has already been won over by Young-jae. On the other hand, Hye-won, a childhood friend of Young-jae, realises her love for him after he gotten married to Ji-eun. In the pursuit of winning his love, she finds out about the fake marriage and tries to set them apart.

I love the consistency of certain actions that were portrayed by each character. For example, the way Young-jae and Ji-eun waited for each other to come home but denied their action when being questioned. Or the way they tried to make each other happy without doing it too obviously. And every time they say how much they care for one another and try to cover up with excuses, I can't help but think that love can cause lovers to have a certain level of ego of their own.

And the house, boy! it's a beauty. It's near the water with a swing set and lots of glass windows. It will be the perfect writing den for me, if only I have a place like that to go to.

I can watch this drama series over and over again because I think the writer did a good job and I want to learn to write as good as that. Being able to make the characters so real with consistent actions to portray the way they feel requires good writing skills and deep understanding of the human's heart. And that is one art I want to conquer.
